Where To Stay In Bali – Frequently Asked Questions

Which area is the best to stay in Bali?

The best area to stay in Bali depends on you and what you like. Seminyak is known for luxury resorts and nightlife with plenty of clubs and beach bars. Ubud is more for you if you like culture and tranquility, and Canggu for a more laid-back atmosphere with surfing vibes.

Is it better to stay in Ubud or Seminyak?

Ubud offers a serene cultural experience, if you like being within nature, want to do yoga and enjoy a slower pace of life, I recommend staying in Ubud. Seminyak is for you if you are looking for lively nightlife and luxury beachfront accommodations.

Which side of Bali has the better beaches?

The southern side of Bali around Uluwatu has by far the best beaches. However, the area has many cliffs and therefore many beaches include a bit of a climb. Areas like Seminyak, Canggu, Kuta, and Nusa Dua are better developed and the beaches are flat and much easier accessible, however, the water isn't as clear and the beaches are more golden than white.

Where To Stay In Bali – Final Words

So where is the best place to stay in Bali? That’s up to you to decide.

While one person may love staying in Legian or Kuta, another might want to get away and stay near the rice fields in Lovina.

Bali is a stunning place that is well worth the long flight. Whether you want to stay in a beachfront resort that has a private pool and terrace or you want to stay in a small hostel, there is somewhere for you in Bali.

With amazing Indonesian cuisine and beautiful street markets, you can feel like a local and eat like one too. Planning a vacation can be oddly stressful. I hope this guide made finding the best place for you in Bali much easier.

If anything, now you have several options and you know what each one has to offer. Bon Voyage!
