The Legian – The Best Romantic Hotel In Seminyak

The Legian Bali is situated right next to the beach in Seminyak and is divided into two sections. The main section is the main hotel building with pool, spa, gym, restaurant, etc and most of the hotel rooms available at the Legian.

The other section is the private villa section where you can rent your own villa with private pool and private butler that accommodates everything needed. I stayed in both sections, just to get a taste of what it was like and how it compared. And I must say that both options are very nice.

The villas are more private and offer a perfect romantic getaway or a fun family vacation. The villas are also huge and come with a private pool and outdoor bathtub as well as 2-3 seating areas outside. It's the perfect place to relax if you're not planning to leave the hotel area.

The hotel rooms are large, and most of them overlook the beach and ocean. They are more affordable and is a great choice if you want to spoil yourself with a luxurious hotel while traveling to Bali.

The location in Seminyak is fantastic, and if you need to go somewhere further, you can ask the concierge to arrange it for you or take a taxi that's waiting outside. Grab (which is like the local Uber) also picks up at the hotel, if you prefer to book on your own.

Katamama – The Best Luxurious Place To Stay In Seminyak Next To Potato Head Beach Club

The Hotel Katamama is located next door to the famous Potato Head Beach Club in Seminyak. First of all, the whole place has a great charm to it. It starts with a smile and a very friendly „Welcome Home“ which actually is the official slogan of the design hotel.

The reception of the Katamama is much more than just the place for a fast check-in. Instead it feels like a very modern place to meet old friends and make new ones. It’s open, it’s bright and has a great feel to it.

The best thing about the Katamama is the design and look & feel of the place. It is focused on Balinese art and the unique implementation of hip design and traditional manufacturing methods. Everything built and used in the rooms was made somewhere in Indonesia: the couch, the TV table, the bed, the carpets.

Every single part of the hotel room has been handmade by Indonesian artists. Even the 1.6 million bricks with which the impressive building of the Katamama was built were made by hand. Just imagine! As if this was not enough reason to stay here, the hospitality of the staff is simply incredible.

Lloyd’s Inn Bali – The Best Affordable Boutique Hotel In Seminyak

Located near Double Six Beach, Lloyd's Inn Bali is one of the best modern boutique hotels in Seminyak. It’s also very affordable.

The hotel design is not a typical Balinese design. But rather, it features modern minimalist aesthetics, similar to Scandinavian design.

The standard room comes with a queen size bed, a full bathroom and a workspace. The room includes a flat-screen TV, an open closet, and all the toiletries you need.

Overall, the room feels very Zen-like and comfortable.

Similar to the rooms, the rest of the hotel has the same modern minimalist aesthetics. From the Garden Restaurant, the Garden Bar, the lobby and other common areas, the modern design is cohesive throughout the entire space.

And on the second floor, you will find a lovely lap swimming pool and jacuzzi.

The pool has a couple of water hammocks, which are perfect for cooling off in the hot Balinese weather.

Lloyd’s Inn Bali is not a typical accommodation I stay as a solo traveller. But for the price and the high quality, it was worth paying a bit more to get such a luxurious and well-designed room.

Courtyard by Marriott – The Best Family-Friendly Place To Stay With Value For Money

If you're looking for the best family-friendly hotel in Seminyak, the Courtyard Marriott hotel is moderately priced and hard to beat.

It's perfectly located, only steps away from Double Six Beach and many restaurants and shops, but you could very easily spend your time just enjoying the hotel!

Set up as a resort-style place, with a large swimming pool divided into three parts – one with a swim-up bar, one dedicated to relaxing and one for children.

There's also a kids club with a range of activities available throughout the day, and some daily aerobics lessons in the swimming pool open to everyone.

Dining is also outstanding, the hotel breakfast is one of the best I've ever had, with all sorts of food on offer including Indonesian, Chinese, Indian, an egg and omelette station, a juice station, and lots more offerings including toasted bagels.

To make matters even better, there's a Mexican/Indonesian taco truck and street food buffet every Wednesday. One thing is certain – you won't go hungry!

Elysian Boutique Hotel – The Best Secluded Private Villas In Seminyak

Nestled in the quiet rice paddies in one of Bali’s most popular neighbourhoods, The Elysian Boutique Resort is located only a few streets away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Seminyak, yet it feels worlds away.

With beautiful garden pathways lined with tropical vegetation, spacious contemporary-designed villas and private plunge pools, it's not hard to feel like you’re the only guest staying at The Elysian.

We spent two blissful nights relaxing in a very generous sized One-Bedroom Villa, during our recent two-week trip around Bali.

The villas featured high ceilings, air-conditioning, which is absolutely essential in Bali, a glass-roofed bathroom, traditional teak furnishings and large bi-fold windows that opened up to overlook the private plunge pool.

If having your own private space is not your thing, then you can always opt to mingle with the other guests over a cocktail around the communal pool, overlooking Rush Bamboo restaurant and bar.

Afternoon tea is served each day at the restaurant, featuring a selection of Western and Indonesian-style nibbles, complemented with a glass of champagne.

I highly recommend securing a poolside cabana to savour your afternoon tea by the pool.

The resort offers a complimentary shuttle to the nearby shopping and dining hub of Seminyak. However, the walk to Seminyak is just as beautiful, as you’ll get to wander through the rice terraces and see the farmers at work harvesting their crops.

The Elysian is perfect for couples, families, and honeymooners looking for a slice of affordable luxury paradise in Seminyak. So, if you’re looking for something that is hidden away from the hustle and bustle of Seminyak, yet still so close to the action, then, The Elysian might just be the perfect spot for you.

Hotel Indigo – The Best Beachfront Hotel In Seminyak

Hotel Indigo is an amazing beachfront position in Seminyak. Although it’s part of a chain hotel, each individual property in the group is completely different. They focus on their local neighbourhood and culture when it comes to the architecture, interior design and soft furnishings.

It’s like a fusion of Balinese culture and design with utter luxury. From gold ceramic hand basins to wicker wall hangings, and intricately detailed rooms, it is a really special place to stay.

Local people come into the hotel to run workshops such as egg painting and kite making. It’s amazing what guests manage to achieve in the egg-painting lesson in an hour. The intricate detail on the keepsake memoir is incredible.

Hotel Indigo Seminyak has an incredibly long swimming pool that is the focal point of the property.

It’s like a promenade lined with palm trees. Just a couple of metres from the latter end of the pool and you are on Seminyak beach, a truly vibrant place, with surfers, tonnes of bars and cafes.

Right in front of Hotel Indigo Seminyak is ideal to catch a sunset with a Bintang beer, chilled tunes and awesome vibes.

The best thing about Hotel Indigo is you can be right in the thick of the atmosphere in Seminyak and retreat back to the haven when you just want to chill.

Harris Hotel – The Best Place To Stay In Seminyak On A Budget

Bali offers some of the best hotel accommodation in the world that luckily comes with an affordable price tag.

One of my favourite hotels in Bali is HARRIS Seminyak, which boasts 231 rooms, a cafe, pizza bar, juice bar, fitness centre, swimming pool, spa and kids club.

We got to stay in this sweet accommodation for 3 nights and can’t wait to go back.

Being only a 5-minute walk from the gorgeous Dhyana Pura Beach, its convenient location is perfect for those looking to top up their tans, whilst having the hustle and bustle of Seminyak’s nightlife close by.

The airport is only a 30-minute ride away too, meaning you can quickly dump your bags and make the most of your holiday.

This hotel is great for couples, backpackers, families or solo travellers who are looking for a modern stylish hotel with friendly staff and great facilities at an affordable price.

The food is also of high quality and is sure to be tasty. The pizza bar is perfect for those who may be a little fussy when it comes to Indonesian food!
