Exciting adventures, stunning beaches, lively nightlife, and lush jungles are just some of what makes Bali one of the best honeymoon destinations in the world.

Pair these amazing attributes with the extravagant accommodations on offer, and you’ll have the honeymoon you’ve always dreamed of!

Is Bali a Good Place for a Honeymoon?

If you’re wondering if you should spend your honeymoon in Bali, the answer is– yes. Bali has a lot to offer for everyone, but it can be a particularly romantic place for newlyweds to share some once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

It has every activity from adventure to leisure, where you will constantly be surrounded by a tropical paradise no matter what corner of the island you venture to.

Bali is full of romance with its island getaways, spa experiences, and an incredible choice of restaurants.

Whether you choose to go horseback riding on the beach or spend a full day relaxing in one of the most luxurious spas, you are sure to have the trip of a lifetime.

Which Part of Bali Should You Stay in for Your honeymoon?

When it comes to choosing which part of Bali you should stay in, each area offers its own unique experience.

Whether you’re looking for the best beaches, a fun atmosphere, or something a little more off the grid, this will help you find what suits you best for your honeymoon.

Seminyak

Filled with boutique shops, cute cafes, and a location that feels central to everything is where you’ll find Seminyak.

There are some amazing villas and resorts in this area, and when it comes to dining you’ll have plenty of options just a short walking distance away.

Seminyak is the perfect romantic getaway for people looking to be a little more involved in Bali’s action, while also being in a great location to travel to other areas too!

Canggu

In recent years, Canggu has become one of the most popular tourist destinations in Bali!

It’s a great combination of everything with perfect surfing conditions, plenty of yoga classes, and spots to dance the night away.

Canggu is a crowd-pleaser and a great place to stay if you’re looking to be pretty active on your honeymoon.

Psst, if you love the idea of Seminyak and Canggu but don't want to be right in the middle of it, choose the area of Umalas, which is in between both but has a very nice low-key and more chill, less traffic kinda vibe.

Nusa Dua

Nusa Dua is home to many of Bali’s luxurious upscale resorts, so it may not be the best option for honeymooners on a budget.

However, if you’re looking for exquisite spas and fine dining then this is the place! Besides luxury hotels, Nusa Dua also offers some great stretches of white sand beaches.

It is much quieter and super relaxed, making it the perfect destination for couples looking to stay in one of the best Bali honeymoon resorts.

Uluwatu

When I think of a honeymoon destination in Bali, the first place that comes to mind is Uluwatu.

It’s further away from the busiest part of the island, and with less bustle, it feels all the more secluded.

Uluwatu has amazing cliffside beaches and some of the best sunsets on the island, which contributes to the perfect setting for a laidback, romantic getaway.

Ubud

Ubud is nestled in the hills, surrounded by the jungle and sweeping rice paddies views. There is a peaceful aura about this area, which is more centered on yoga and spirituality than the other locations.

You will feel completely calm, surrounded by nature, setting the perfect tone for the perfect honeymoon escape.

What are the Best Months to Honeymoon in Bali?

Bali is an amazing year-round destination for a honeymoon, however, the best months to go would have to be May through September. These months are the dry season where the weather will be most favourable.

August and September particularly have the least amount of rainfall and the lowest humidity, making these months the best time to kick back and relax on the beach.

How Much Does a Honeymoon in Bali Cost?

When it comes to planning a honeymoon in Bali, prices can range a lot. The average Bali honeymoon hotel will cost somewhere between USD 75-250 a night, while the more luxurious resorts can range anywhere between USD 350-750+ for a night.

Apart from accommodation, you'll have to account for flight prices and the activities you plan to do on the island as well. I recommend checking your flight options on Skyscanner.

Some activities you might be interested in as newlyweds would be a cooking class, which typically costs around USD 35 per person, or a luxury couple massage which can range anywhere from USD 50-150.

You can also hire a private driver for the day for around USD 40, which will allow you to easily get around and explore the area.

Bali is such a great destination because it caters to budget-friendly itineraries, as well as some of the most luxurious itineraries.

It's great value for money, which means even people who are on a budget can treat themselves to fun activities and dinners they may not usually do!

Choosing Bali for your honeymoon means funds will stretch a lot further than many other popular honeymoon locations.

Most Romantic Things to Do in Bali

From sunset cocktails on the beach to candlelit dinners under the stars, there is no shortage of romantic moments to be had in Bali. It doesn’t matter where you stay, there is romance everywhere!

Some of my favourite romantic activities on the island are enjoying a couples spa day, horseback riding on the beach, taking a private waterfall tour, or snorkelling at one of the island's many reefs.

If you're looking to do something a bit more active, I would highly recommend hiking up Mount Batur. You can book a private tour for this, and seeing the sunrise from the top of this volcano is incredible! It is definitely a great moment to share with your loved one, and something neither of you will forget.

I would also recommend thinking about adding a couple's photoshoot to your Bali honeymoon itinerary. This is a fun, perfect way to document your trip, so you know you’ll have some beautiful photos to look back on!

Best Bali Honeymoon Villas

Deciding which Bali honeymoon villas are best for you can be challenging when there are so many enticing options.

However, you don’t have to choose just one. Many people split their time, spending their honeymoon in multiple resorts on all different parts of the island.

Whichever works best for you, there will be at least one villa that’s sure to catch your eye!

This romantic villa is located in the popular Canggu area, but far enough off the main road that it’s peaceful.

There are only 6 villas on the property which makes it feel even more exclusive, with each featuring beautiful wooden interiors, a private terrace, and a flat-screen TV.

There is daily housekeeping, a chef onsite, and in-room massage services available.
