Jl. Batu Bolong has a lot of great cafes, restaurants, boutique shops, spas, bars, weekend markets, and of course, accommodation. You will find the famous Old Man’s Bar and The Lawn right at the ocean located at the end of Batu Bolong, officially Canggu's Main Street.

If you don’t want to rent and drive a scooter and mainly want to walk everywhere, then Batu Bolong or its adjacent side streets offer the perfect accommodation options for a convenient and pedestrian-friendly stay.

2. Berawa Beach

Berawa Beach is on the other side of the Canggu shortcut, which you’ll soon get to know when you arrive in Canggu.

Berawa is a great area with many up-and-coming cafes, restaurants and it’s also a little closer to Seminyak, plus if you want to hang out at one of the beach clubs, such as Finn's Beach Club, can be found right here on the Berawa Beach beachfront.

Berawa is the place to stay if you want to be close to Seminyak and yet find a nice private pool villa in Bali tucked away.

It’s a great place to stay if you don’t mind renting a scooter to get around the area, walking is not so easy. Of course, you could take a taxi too.

Finally, Pererenan is considered a different village, however, it’s often counted as Canggu. I have lived just off Jl. Pantai Pererenan for a while and loved it.

There aren’t so many restaurants or shops and it has a more local feel, surrounded by beautiful rice fields. If you want more tranquility but still have proximity to Canggu’s main area, this is where you’ll want to find your private villa in Canggu.

I highly recommend you rent a scooter if you’re staying around Pererenan to get around easily. Otherwise, you might want to hire a driver.

Expect that walking and biking around here is a much bigger stretch than in other areas of Canggu.
