Where to stay in Hua Hin: Most Popular Hotels & Beach Resorts
In the past, Hua Hin served as the favored retreat getaway for Bangkok's royalty and the privileged class. Today, Hua Hin has transformed into a renowned coastal resort situated just under three hour drive to the south of Bangkok.
Encircled by pristine sandy beaches and with neighboring national parks like Khao Sam Roi Yot and Thailand's largest national park Kaeng Krachan, it took me numerous visits to Thailand until I finally made it to this special resort town!
Buzzing night markets and nightlife are definitely part of Hua Hin, but don't worry, you'll also find secluded beaches and luxury resorts with world-class spas where you can lay back and relax.
From my recent visit, I've put together a list of my favorite areas and the most popular hotels to help you decide where to stay in Hua Hin.
Best areas to stay in Hua Hin
Northern Hua Hin
The northern areas of Hua Hin offer plenty of beautiful beaches and a wide range of accommodations, from luxury resorts to budget stays. Right in the heart of Hua Hin is Central Hua Hin, the city center, which makes for a great base if you're visiting for the first time.
Hua Hin Main Beach area is perfect for luxury and beach lovers with its world-class spas, shopping and white sand beaches. If you prefer a quieter atmosphere, Cha-Am Beach is a little further out, making it the ideal spot for a family vacation.
Southern Hua Hin
The Southern Beaches in Hua Hin are absolutely perfect for a relaxing getaway. If you're looking to escape to secluded beaches and lush national parks, this is the place for you. Khao Takiab Beach is home to many luxury honeymoon resorts, making it an ideal spot for a tranquil couples retreat.
Another favorite area further south of Hua Hin is Pran Buri Beach, which offers a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere and several national parks to explore.
