Hotel Review: Staying at Aleenta Hua Hin Pranburi Resort & Spa

If you are looking for a wellness retreat in Thailand that is close to Bangkok yet away from the hustle and bustle, Aleenta Resort and Spa in Hua Hin should be on your list to consider!

Hua Hin stands as a premier relaxation destination due to its serene coastal charm, tranquil beaches, and a plethora of luxurious resorts and spas. With activities ranging from indulgent spa treatments and beachfront lounging to exploring local markets and engaging in plenty of outdoor adventures, Hua Hin makes for a top wellness destination in Thailand.

Just a 3-hour drive south of Bangkok, nestled along the scenic coastline of Hua Hin and Pranburi, Aleenta Hua Hin redefines relaxation and offers an unparalleled beachside escape from modern life.

Staying at the Four-Bedroom Residence Beachfront

I stayed in the 4-bedroom residence (that sleeps up to 9 people), which is located right at the beachfront and reminded me of a Mediterranean blue and white hacienda from the outside. Stepping inside, the villa was big and airy, and exquisitely designed.

I instantly fell in love with the comfortable and beachy furnishings, from the sandy-colored couch to the shell chandelier and the huge window front that leads out to the deep blue pool and further gazes out over the vast ocean expanse, accompanied by the luxury of private beach access, creating a haven of coastal bliss.

There is a big kitchen with everything you could need and two rooms downstairs and two upstairs, making this house perfect for a family or group of friends travelling together. I slept in one of the ensuite rooms upstairs, which was incredibly spacious and had huge windows leading onto a white-washed terrace that looked down over the pool and the ocean.

One of the big draws is definitely the uninterrupted views. I could've sat here on the villa terrace for hours, watching the world go by. Not many people frequent the beach, which made it feel very secluded and intimate.

The little hacienda house itself is about a 5-minute bike ride away from the main part of the resort that houses the restaurant, spa and another stunning infinity pool.

There are free bikes in front of the house you can freely use to get around, but the resort also has a golf cart to pick you up from the house at any time of the day. You can also walk to the restaurant of Aleenta along the beach in just about 10 minutes.

It's not always easy to be a sustainable traveller, especially in Southeast Asia, where plastic waste is still a massive problem and change is much slower than in Western countries. So I really like it when I come across hotels that are committed to environmental sustainability.

Aleenta Hua Hin has been single-use plastic free since 2019! Additionally, they engage in regular eco-friendly practices such as beach clean-ups, staff training on sustainability, and using reusable glass bottles and solar-powered landscape lighting.

The beauty here is to do nothing but relax in your terrace hammock, take a walk along the beach, or get pampered at the spa, complete with 180-degree ocean views.

You can also partake in a Thai cooking class or make a herbal ball compress right next to the beach. Alternatively, participate in a Vinyasa Yoga class in the morning.
