📍 Which is the best area to stay in El Nido, Palawan?
If you're wondering where is the best place to stay in El Nido for the first time, my personal recommendation is Caalan Beach or the downtown area of El Nido Town Proper itself, as both are super convenient and offer easy access to shops, restaurants, and island hopping tours. However, if you prefer a quieter and more secluded experience, the best area to stay in El Nido would be the nearby islands and beaches, such as Nacpan Beach or Corong Corong Beach.

The most convenient way for me was to fly to Puerto Princesa International Airport, which is the nearest major airport to El Nido. From the airport, I took a scenic journey in a minibus for around 5-6 hours to the top of Palawan Island to reach the charming town of El Nido. Alternatively, you can also book a direct flight to El Nido Airport, a smaller airport located near the town. Many airlines offer domestic flights to El Nido from Manila or Cebu, but it is more expensive. If you're coming from Coron, you can also come by ferry, which takes around 4-5 hours.
