Nestled amidst the sun-kissed shores of Canggu, ZIN Canggu Resort and Villas offers luxury 4-star accommodation. I absolutely adore Canggu, even though this once little sleepy town has changed a lot over the years, I was eager to get back to it and explore some new properties.

So on my recent trip over to Bali, I got to stay at the beautiful ZIN Canggu and it was nothing short of amazing. The property is set in the perfect location, only 200 meters from Nelayan Beach and a short distance from Batu Bolong, Canggu's main street, making this hotel a perfect location for all the things to do in Canggu.

The resort's fusion of modern elegance and traditional Balinese charm is evident in every detail, from the stylishly designed bamboo villas to the inviting poolside oasis.

ZIN Canggu is not just a hotel, it also has a stunning cafe/coworking area, spa and fitness center, including an indoor cycling studio.

ZIN Canggu Location

I loved the location of ZIN Canggu, within a couple of footsteps to the ocean to head for a morning walk or sunset cocktails. Neylan Beach is one of Canggu's best beaches, it's got some nice beach bars but is just that little less busy than Berawa or Batu Bolong.

However, both are still incredibly close, which allows for a laid-back stay while being within the charm of Canggu with its eclectic dining spots, trendy boutiques, and surf-friendly waves.

Whether strolling along the nearby Echo Beach or exploring the local markets, ZIN Canggu's central location ensures that the best of Bali's cultural and coastal experiences are right at your doorstep.

Some of my favorite nearby places are:

  • KYND Community for the best vegan fare
  • Superfood Canggu, so healthiness
  • Aquahits Spa, for affordable massages
  • Doppio Cafe
  • Radiantly Alive Canggu for yoga

Of course, you'll also have to visit the iconic Old Man's and The Lawn, which are a 10-minute street or beach walk away.

Given ZIN Canggu's prime location in a bustling area, I was informed during check-in that occasional nighttime music from nearby venues might be audible.

True enough, I did hear some tunes one night, but it wasn't overly loud and didn't disturb my sleep. It's worth considering when booking your hotel in Canggu's most popular area.

ZIN Canggu Room Types

I rented my own scooter to drive myself around Canggu. Right outside the reception, I could easily park my little red Vespa as there is free parking for guests.

The staff quickly checked me in and accompanied me to my room, which was Room 303, one of their Deluxe Bamboo Rooms located on the ground floor, perfect for two people.

The resort also boasts four exquisite Teak Private Pool Villas, each set up in a little sanctuary of privacy, surrounded by lush tropical landscapes and with their own private pool. Additionally, ZIN offers six Junior Suites as well as two Bamboo Villas, each with a private pool, blending modern comforts with eco-friendly elegance.

Every room type at ZIN Canggu reflects the resort's commitment to providing a harmonious blend of contemporary amenities within the serene backdrop of Bali's beach town charm.

All the rooms are decked out with either a king or twin-size bed, a lounge or sofa area, full AC, ceiling fans, smart TV, free Wi-Fi, and a fridge for your snacks and drinks. Basically, they've got you covered with all the good stuff in a laid-back Bali style.

Staying at ZIN Canggu: Deluxe Bamboo Room

I loved my stay in the Deluxe Bamboo Room. Walking into the room through the large door, I immediately felt at home.

The room was airy and minimalist with natural tones. The large double bed had a white mosquito net over it which made it look quite romantic.

In the afternoon, around 4 – 4.30 pm, the sun would light up the entire room beautifully through the linen curtains. From the bed, I could look out into the garden and over the bamboo structure and pool area.

The room had all the needed toiletries and bathrobes. The private bathroom was finished with concrete and a high bamboo roof, complete with a double shower.

With full AC and ceiling fans, you're in control of the Bali breeze. Plus the free Wi-Fi worked great all throughout and I used the fridge, which was small but sufficient, for my stash of snacks and cold water.

ZIN Canggu Facilities: Cafe, Spa, Indoor Cycling

With a trendy café serving up Bali's best bites, a rejuvenating spa for ultimate relaxation, and an indoor cycle studio that goes off like a discoteca, ZIN Canggu has all the chill facilities that make your stay as awesome as the island of Bali itself.

Morning Indoor Cycling

ZIN Canggu has a newly opened indoor cycling studio, which I was dying to try. So I signed up for a very early 7 am class, ready to pedal into the day and get my morning energy boost!

At ZIN, Indoor Cycling isn't just a regular workout; it's a party on wheels. With disco vibes, pulsating lights, and a killer soundtrack, the mostly dark studio sets the stage for a high-energy experience.

Personally, I love it – because who needs the world to witness my sweat and determined expression as I conquer the metaphorical mountain to the tunes of JT?

ZIN Cafe

After my indoor cycling class and shower, I was headed for breakfast.

ZIN Canggu not only offers a stylish retreat but also serves up a great bite with its vibrant café. Right next door to the bamboo villas, the café is spread over 3 floors and yet feels very cozy and laid-back.

Whether you're craving a leisurely morning coffee, a refreshing afternoon pick-me-up, or a full meal infused with local and international flair, ZIN Cafe is open from 7 am to 10 pm.

It also has various areas that work as a free coworking space, and there were plenty of laptop nomads! Fast Wi-Fi, yummy food and meeting new people, what else could you want.

ZIN Spa & ZIN Fit

ZIN Canggu also has an on-site spa, where skilled therapists weave traditional Balinese techniques into rejuvenating treatments.

My first taste of the spa was at check-in, where I was offered a brief welcome massage, which was taken in my room.

Meanwhile, the fitness center offers a small but dynamic space with a variety of equipment and classes like circuit training, pilates, dance, and boxing classes.

Whether indulging in a tranquil spa experience or breaking a sweat in the fitness hub, ZIN Canggu seamlessly combines wellness and luxury for an unforgettable Bali escape.

Make sure you book ahead for the spa as it was pretty booked out during my stay. The pool and fitness center is free to use for all hotel guests.

ZIN Canggu – Final Words

ZIN Canggu, my Bali escape in the middle of the buzzing Canggu scene, has been a total vibe!

As the sun dips behind the palm trees, I've truly been soaking in the chill moments – whether it's lounging by the pool, indulging in the full menu at ZIN Cafe and kicking it on the rooftop terrace. Big shoutout to the awesome staff at ZIN for making it feel like home.

ZIN Canggu isn't just a spot for R&R; it's also the gateway to Bali's cool culture. Leaving with a heart full of good times and a promise to swing by in Canggu again soon.
