These Are The 14 Best Bangkok Rooftop Hotel Pools To Die For

Bangkok, a bustling city full of life and activity. One of my favourite cities in Southeast Asia actually! Especially as a traveller, there are just so many things to see, so many places to visit, so many things to do.

Get lost temple hopping, visiting museums, haggling at the many markets, have endless fun with the electrifying nightlife, and who could forget the insane shopping! I’m not at all complaining, but being up adventuring can take a toll on you. And then all you want to do is end your day with a sumptuous Thai meal, a relaxing view and a refreshing way to beat the heat and sweat of the whole day.

Good thing Bangkok’s skyline is made up of so many skyscrapers, because that’s exactly what you need: an awesome hotel pool sitting on top of one of those high rises! And some of these pools are really to die for!

Check out these 14 rooftop water paradises in Bangkok:

SO Sofitel Bangkok

Topping this list is no other than SO Sofitel Bangkok that is so trendy, so luxurious, and just so fantastic. Starting with their magnificent rooms that are inspired by the 5 elements which are earth, water, wood, metal, and fire, you can actually choose which theme you want to book and sleep in. A fun fact to know about SO Sofitel Bangkok is that renowned French designer, Christian Lacroix actually added magical touches to the aesthetics of the place and even to the staff’s uniforms.

Other than that, the main reason to stay at the SO Sofitel is its luxury pool on the 10th floor. Have a swim across its 32-metre expanse while you listen to underwater music (yes, that really is a thing!) or just perch on the edge and look out over the green space of Lumphini Park down below. You can even order cocktails and light refreshment from The Water Club, the poolside bar.

All are dazzling Carolin. We stayed in a hotel with a smaller but super impressive pond and lounge area. Buddha statues, koi, the whole 9. Then you walked up to a higher level roof and the pool greeted you. Stunning stuff, with views of the city and it offered quite the rooms too. I cannot recall the name but was about 5 minutes from Khao San Road, right outside the heart of that area. Yeah we were upgraded when the hotel behind it was fully booked. Sweet deal.

Wow, your description sounds insanely cool, Ryan! And all that 5 minutes from Khao San, sounds like the jackpot 🙂
