The Philippines truly is a paradise on earth, and Siargao Island is no exception. With its breathtaking white sand beaches, palm tree-lined roads, and warm and welcoming locals, it's definitely a must-see for your next trip to the Philippines.

The tear-drop-shaped island isn't as crowded with tourists as other islands in the Philippines, like Palawan or Cebu. However, it has been gaining popularity in recent years, so you might want to make your move soon!

It doesn't matter if you're planning a family vacation, a honeymoon, a backpacking adventure, or simply looking to stay in a nice resort on the beach, the island of Siargao has it all. And I totally understand that it can sometimes be challenging to decide where to stay.

Therefore, I have gathered my favorite areas and hotels on this little island to help you decide where to stay in Siargao.

3-day Siargao Itinerary

Day 1: Catch good vibes & waves

Start your day off right with a delicious breakfast at one of the awesome local cafes in General Luna! You won't want to miss the chance to try one of those Instagram-worthy smoothie bowls from Shaka Cafe.

After that, make your way to the Jacking Horse break for your first surf lesson. No worries if you're a bit wobbly, we've all been there, and the locals are super friendly and always ready to lend a hand.

Once you've caught your first wave, it's time for a well-deserved lunch break. Warung Siargao Indonesian Restaurant serves some great Indonesian food that is also super affordable.

As the day comes to an end, head over to the Cloud 9 Tower. It's the best spot to watch the sunset while pro surfers shred the waves. After, Wrap up your day with dinner at The Bliss, where I highly recommend the risotto.

Day 2: Discover the Magic of Siargao on Two Wheels

Today, you'll be renting a scooter (don't forget your helmet!) and heading straight to the iconic Palm Tree Road. This road is a sight to behold, with towering coconut palms forming a beautiful green tunnel – perfect for that mandatory travel shot. If you have a drone, this is a great location to fly it!

Next, make your way to The Maasin River; its crowning glory is the famous bent coconut tree swing. Give it a try, as it is an absolute must-do.

In the afternoon, you'll make a stop at the White Banana Beach Club Bar & Restaurant for some nice food. They don't serve any kind of meat because they're all about sustainability. Instead, they offer the most amazing seafood dishes made with freshly caught fish from the day.

Day 3: Embrace the Island Life with an island-hopping Tour

For your final day, let's go and explore the awesome neighboring islands of Siargao. You can either join a group tour like this one or charter a private boat – totally up to you. The first stop on most island-hopping adventures is Naked Island. No need to worry about packing clothes for this one! This bare sandbar, with no vegetation, is the ultimate spot for a sunbath.

Next up, you'll head to Daco Island, an absolute paradise with its crystal-clear turquoise waters and pristine white sands. It's the perfect spot to grab your snorkel gear and dive into the colorful reef and marine life. Here, you'll have the chance to see many different types of stingrays and, if you're lucky, even reef sharks or whale sharks!

The last stop is Guyam Island, a tiny island with plenty of character. With its palm trees and charmingly tiny beach, you'll feel like you're on your own private island.
