• You need to be able to divide home and work-life yourself, nobody tells you when to clock on and off
• Working from home can get lonely, catching up with others in the same situation in coffee shops or coworking spaces can help
• There won't be team happy hours like you know them, they are either happening virtually or not at all

Is Remote Work Right For You?

While I believe remote work can work for everyone, it's hard to say if it's the right thing for you right now. 

If you like the idea of reducing workplace distractions and feel like you could be more comfortable and productive working from home, all while eliminating daily commutes and reduce your environmental impact, chances are you will be just fine. 

Another important skill to have when working remotely is personal discipline to get up in the morning and managing your own time throughout the day. 

Things that help is setting up a proper routine and establishing working hours as well as having a separate room or space where you can close the door and actually knuckle down and work, away from any distractions at home.

Ask yourself, look at your lifestyle and how you want to balance work and life in the future.

Remote work is not for everybody. While some people may thrive working remotely, other people actually thrive in an office environment, so choose what's right for you!
